Tucked between Cascades Approach and the historic St Agatha’s Church, a vibrant new green space is now open, bursting with colour and offering plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks to funding from the Transforming Cities Fund and the South East Hampshire Rapid Transit programme, this project not only supports faster, more reliable bus services in and around the city centre, but also delivers a welcoming and accessible garden space for the whole community.
As part of a wider collaboration, the delivery team worked closely with St Agatha’s Church to support their long-term restoration aspirations. This partnership helped bring to life the beautiful new gardens, along with improved entrance steps and a new ramp—enhancing accessibility into the church and strengthening the connection between the space and its historic surroundings.
